IS IT FAIR THAT WE NEED TO PAY ALOT OF MONEY TO TRAVEL TO LONDON FOR OUR DAUGHTERS HOSPITAL CHECK UP APPOINTMENTS….
I feel it’s not right that gov does not help with the travel cost , we have to pay red cross alot of money to take us up to GOSH.It takes us 3 an half hour if we are lucky to get there. (We do not drive ) I feel gov should help us and others who have children who are in remission from cancer.
kiddie cancer info.com offers hospital transport now,we only ask for a donation to cover the cost.
Are you wondering about how you will pay your bills while your child is ill…..
Check out this link https://www.gov.uk/browse/benefits
Social worker
You may have a visit from a social worker while you’re at your child’s hospital.
We had a lovely social worker at Gosh called ann Marie; she told us what benefits we should apply for.
When you leave hospital and go home, you will find that you will have loads of medicine to give to your child.
STRESS…
I have NHS back ground but I still got very stress at the start.
If you get mixed up with the times to give your child their medicine, call your child’s hospital.
They will calm you down and tell you that you’re doing a good job.
Also you could call NHS Direct
