find out what school work they are doing in class,<\/strong><strong>so you could ask your Childs teacher to give you some school work\/ (reading books) to do at home and while you are in hospital so some toilet wipes and gloves.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>If your child is having chemo\/radio it is very importation for your child (if old enough\u00a0too) or their teacher to clean the toilet seat as it is risky for people to be in contact with your child&#8217;s urine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Ask your child&#8217;s community nurse to go to your child&#8217;s school <\/strong><strong>to talk to your child&#8217;s class,<\/strong><strong>to try and explain about your child&#8217;s cancer. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>So they then can explain: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>*What your child will be going through and why<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>*\u00a0about the\u00a0hair loss <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>*the weight loss<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Etc<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/kiddiecancerinfo.com\/adult\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/NEW-IDEAS-LOGO1.jpg\"><img sensitive.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>*No one can use your child&#8217;s bath water once your child starts chemo treatment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>*Cuts = Make sure your child&#8217;s cuts are covered.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Schools need to take note that if one of their pupils is having cancer treatment then the parent&#8217;s need to be informed ASAP.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>If\u00a0a child in\u00a0your child\u2019s class or\u00a0t<\/strong><strong>heir brothers\/sisters have\u00a0come down with chicken pox etc, <\/strong><strong>your child\u00a0would need to go to their hospital to be checked over.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>If\u00a0the doctors believe that your child has a high chance to\u00a0contract <\/strong><strong>Chicken pox etc then they will need to give your child an injection to stop this ASAP.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Children in remission need to be careful too.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/kiddiecancerinfo.com\/adult\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Hospital-name-logo2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1546\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" center;\"><strong>Hospital appointments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>If your child worries about their check up appointments like my daughter then here&#8217;s some advice and ideas for you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Talk to your child&#8217;s teacher so he\/she can keep an extra eye on your child, so they can inform you if your child&#8217;s behaviour changes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Sit down and talk to your child about their worries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Explain what\u00a0will be happening at their check up appointment and why!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>SCAR = One day my daughter told me that a boy in her class made fun of her scar, which is a cross her tummy, <\/strong><strong>he noticed it when they were getting changed for PE, and\u00a0it really up set her!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>My reply was\u00a0&#8220;Don\u2019t listen to him, <\/strong><strong>You should be proud of your scar, a<\/strong><strong>s it shows everyone that you\u00a0are a very brave little girl\u00a0and that you&#8217;re a survivor&#8221;!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>I had a word with Chloe\u2019s teacher and that was the end of that.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p
